Commercially released almost two years ago, the stock Android-based Pixel 2 and 2 XL were kept around after the introduction of the Pixel 3 and 3 XL last fall, but in anticipation of the mid-range Pixel 3a and 3a XL, the classic 5/6-inch duo was officially discontinued by Google a few months back. That wasn’t necessarily bad news for bargain hunters in love with the purest form of the search giant’s industry-leading operating system, but following several killer deals and massive discounts, Verizon and Best Buy also pulled the plug.
